Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective 2 October 2026. Last updated 2 October 2026
The short version: where you bought decides how you cancel and who handles refunds.
- Bought on our website: you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Payments aren’t refundable, including for partial periods or time you didn’t use, except in the cases under “Billing problems” below.
- Bought in our iPhone or iPad app: you paid Apple. Cancel and ask for refunds through Apple.
- Bought in our Android app: you paid Google. Cancel through Google Play. Refund requests go to Google in the first 48 hours, and to us after that.
If you think you were charged by mistake, see “Billing problems” below.
Bought on our website
This covers anything you buy at wrinkledot.com or through a checkout page we send you, which Stripe processes for us. Whether an app links to our website to buy, or lets you pay us directly, depends on the app. Where it does, this section also covers purchases you make on our website by following that link, or by paying us directly in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.
- Each billing period is paid in full at the start and isn’t refundable, whether or not you use the Service during it. If you cancel partway through a period, we don’t refund or prorate the rest of it, however much or little you used.
- If you upgrade, the new plan starts right away, and we show any amount due before you confirm. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next renewal, and we don’t refund the difference.
- Cancel any time in your account settings, or by emailing support@wrinkledot.com from your account’s email address. We’ll confirm by email. An emailed cancellation counts from when we receive it, even if our confirmation arrives later.
- Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- We email a reminder 25 to 30 days before each yearly renewal, and once a year for monthly plans (25 to 40 days before the renewal that starts each new year of your subscription), so you have time to cancel first. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. We also email you 10 to 30 days before any price change, with how to cancel. If the law where you live requires your agreement to a price increase, we’ll ask for it before we charge the new price; if you don’t agree, your plan ends at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Bought in our iPhone or iPad app
If you subscribed or bought something inside our iPhone or iPad app using Apple’s in-app purchase, you paid Apple, not us. Apple handles the billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds under its own terms. We can’t cancel, refund or change those purchases for you.
- To cancel: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. You can also follow Apple’s guide at support.apple.com/en-us/118428. Apple suggests cancelling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
- To ask for a refund: go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides whether to approve it.
- Price changes: Apple tells subscribers before a price increase applies, and in some cases asks you to agree to it. If you don’t agree when Apple asks, your subscription ends at the end of the current period.
Bought in our Android app
If you subscribed or bought something inside our Android app using Google Play billing, you paid Google, not us. Google handles the billing, renewals and cancellation under its own terms.
- To cancel: open the Google Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose the subscription and tap Cancel subscription. Or go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds in the first 48 hours: Google says you may be able to get a refund from Google Play in the first 48 hours, depending on the purchase. Ask through Google Play.
- After 48 hours: Google says to contact the app’s developer. Email us with your Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.”). We apply the same approach as for website purchases: we don’t refund the unused part of a period, but we review billing problems as described below.
- If a payment fails: Google may keep your subscription active for a short grace period while it retries the payment, then put it on hold. While it’s on hold, you won’t have access until the payment goes through. If the payment isn’t fixed in time, the subscription ends.
If you use more than one device or platform
- Cancel and ask for refunds where you bought. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription, and cancelling in one place doesn’t cancel a subscription bought somewhere else.
- Whether a subscription also works in our apps, or on other devices, depends on the product; we say so on the product’s page and at checkout before you buy.
- If you have paid subscriptions in more than one place for the same thing, each store bills you separately. Cancel the one you don’t need where you bought it. Check the “Subscriptions” page on each device or store before you subscribe again.
- Prices can differ between our website, the App Store and Google Play, for example because of store fees or taxes. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout on the platform you use.
- If you reinstall the app or get a new device, use “Restore purchases” in the app to get back a purchase made through Apple or Google.
Digital products
Downloads, licenses, templates and other digital products are final once they’ve been delivered or made available to you. Digital products bought through Apple or Google follow that store’s refund rules.
Custom software work
If Wrinkledot builds something for you, the proposal or statement of work we both sign sets the price, payment schedule, what counts as done and how changes are handled, and it takes priority over this page. In general:
- Work starts after a deposit of 50% of the project price, which covers scheduling and the first stage of work. The rest is paid by milestone.
- You have 10 business days to review each delivery against the agreed scope. It counts as accepted if you don’t report a problem in that time.
- Each milestone includes 2 rounds of revisions. Extra rounds and changes outside the agreed scope are quoted separately.
- For 30 days after final acceptance, we fix, at no charge, any defect you can reproduce that stops what we delivered from working as the agreed scope describes. That excludes problems caused by later changes made by you or others.
- The remedy for a delivery that doesn’t match the agreed scope is rework: we fix it to match the agreed scope at no extra charge, and these fixes don’t use up your revision rounds.
- If we still can’t deliver a milestone to the agreed scope after reasonable attempts at rework, you may end the project by telling us in writing. We’ll then refund what you paid for that milestone and for any later work we haven’t delivered, including any part of the deposit that paid for it, or credit it toward other work with us if you prefer. We don’t refund work you’ve already accepted.
- If you end a project early for any other reason, you pay for work done up to that point, and the deposit isn’t refunded.
Billing problems
If you believe you were charged in error (a duplicate charge, a wrong amount, a charge after you cancelled, a charge you didn’t authorize, or a charge for access you paid for but couldn’t get), contact us and we’ll review it. If we confirm a billing error, we’ll correct it, which may include a refund or account credit.
If we close your account without cause, or stop offering a paid service, before the end of a period you paid us for, we’ll refund the unused part of that period, worked out by the number of days left, to your original payment method. This is different from cancelling: when you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period, and we don’t refund or prorate it. For purchases made through Apple or Google, refunds go through the store; contact us and we’ll help.
If the Service is down for more than 24 hours in a row because of a problem on our side, we may give you account credit. Any other refund is at our discretion and doesn’t change this policy.
For Apple purchases, billing problems are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, ask Google in the first 48 hours; after that, email us and we’ll review it as described above.
After a refund or chargeback
When a payment is refunded, reversed by your bank, or cancelled by Apple or Google, the access it paid for ends. For a website purchase, if you dispute a charge with your bank, we may pause the account while the dispute is open.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the law where you live, or under your card issuer’s or bank’s rules. For example, US federal law lets you dispute a billing error, such as an unauthorized charge, with your credit card issuer, and the issuer decides the dispute. Wrinkledot’s services are offered to customers in the United States. If you buy from outside the US, any rights you have under your local consumer law still apply.
How to ask
Email support@wrinkledot.com with the email address on your account, where you bought (our website, Apple or Google Play), the charge date and amount, and what happened. For Google Play purchases, include the order number. We reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds for website purchases go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. When we refund a payment, we also refund the sales tax we charged on it.
Website charges appear on your statement as WRINKLEDOT. App purchases appear as charges from Apple or Google. If a charge looks wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your bank. We can usually sort it out quickly.
